FX Trader at Klasha Nigeria
Klasha is a technology company focused on creating cross-border commerce solutions for Africa. It enables international merchants to accept payments from Africa in local currencies with payouts in hard currencies, and allows B2B African merchants to send money globally in G20 currencies. Klasha Personal offers consumers in Africa an app to shop and spend internationally, using local payment methods and currencies.
Role Overview:
Klasha is seeking an FX Trader specializing in Treasury to lead its Treasury strategy. The role involves building a solid treasury operations function, managing cash flow, investments, foreign exchange risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash Management: Ensure sufficient cash resources to meet daily operational needs and seize investment opportunities.
- Investment Management: Maximize returns by investing excess cash in short-term, low-risk instruments while preserving capital.
- Foreign Exchange Management: Monitor currency rates and manage exposure to fluctuations through hedging strategies.
- Risk Management: Assess and handle risks related to credit, market, and liquidity.
- Treasury Planning & Analysis: Develop models to support strategic decisions and ensure financial stability.
- Treasury Reporting: Prepare reports for management, investors, and regulators.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure operations comply with local and international regulations, including AML and KYC.
- Treasury Operations: Oversee daily operations like bank reconciliations, wire transfers, and cash deposits.
- OTC Partnerships: Source and manage partnerships with over-the-counter (OTC) liquidity providers.
- Capital Management: Handle the company’s capital needs, including raising funds through debt or equity.
