Job Overview:

As a Flutter Mobile Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain Bamboo’s mobile applications using the Flutter framework. You will work on implementing new features, optimizing performance, and ensuring a smooth user experience across both Android and iOS devices. You’ll collaborate with the engineering and product teams to create innovative financial solutions. Your work will directly contribute to improving the platform and making financial services more accessible.

We are looking for an analytical, results-driven Flutter Mobile engineer at Bamboo Nigeria with a passion for building high-quality mobile apps and expertise in cross-platform development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain mobile apps for Android and iOS using Flutter.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to design and implement new features.
• Ensure optimal app performance and responsiveness by identifying and resolving issues.
• Build and enhance features to ensure compatibility across devices and platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
• Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure high code quality.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues to improve usability and reliability.
• Stay current with the latest Flutter and mobile development technologies.
• Work with cross-functional teams to meet product requirements.
• Continuously improve app features through data-driven experimentation.
• Oversee app releases, including managing beta testing and production deployment.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in mobile development, including 2+ years with Flutter.
• Proficiency in Dart and experience building smooth, cross-platform mobile apps.
• Strong knowledge of mobile app development best practices, including testing and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating Flutter apps with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Familiarity with state management techniques in Flutter, such as Provider, BLoC, or Riverpod.
• A focus on delivering an excellent user experience, with attention to UI/UX design.
• Knowledge of native Android and iOS SDKs, as well as app deployment processes.
• Experience with relational databases like SQL and mobile data storage solutions.
• Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Git, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of cross-platform compatibility challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work both independently and in a team.
• Experience with performance optimization and security testing for mobile apps.
• Enthusiasm for learning new tools and technologies as the mobile ecosystem evolves.
