Job Overview:

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Back-End Engineer (.Net) at Africhange (AF) Technology Limited to join our talented team and contribute to building exceptional products. The ideal candidate will collaborate with other engineers to create and maintain high-performance systems that meet our customers’ needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement new backend features using web APIs.
• Maintain and improve existing web applications and ensure system integration.
• Design, build, and manage high-volume, public-facing web APIs.
• Support and maintain existing APIs.
• Collaborate on new application development to meet evolving customer needs.
• Implement new functionality and handle change requests for existing applications.
• Integrate third-party APIs into our systems.
• Conduct comprehensive testing of APIs, including unit and system tests.
• Communicate effectively with the development team and other stakeholders.
• Identify, fix, and test bugs to ensure smooth functionality.
• Write, maintain, and optimize reliable C# code.
• Provide technical support to end-users as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: B.Sc./HND in Computer Science or related field.
• Certifications: Relevant software engineering certifications are a plus.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience developing web APIs using C#.
• Strong knowledge of unit testing frameworks (Xunit, Moq).
• Familiarity with CSS, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, Postgres, and .Net development.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently within tight deadlines.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with AWS, Heroku, RabbitMQ is preferred.
• Knowledge of Angular and Flutter is a bonus.
• Strong understanding of databases and backend development best practices.
