HR Manager at Global Profilers
Global Profilers client’s recruiting is a leading supplier in the building materials industry, specializing in Plaster of Paris (POP) and iron rods. Committed to high-quality products and exceptional service, they support construction projects across Lagos and beyond.
Job Summary:
The HR Manager will be instrumental in driving HR functions to support the company’s growth. The role involves recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with Nigerian labor laws, with an emphasis on experience in the building materials industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Staffing: Lead the full recruitment cycle to attract top talent aligned with business goals.
- Employee Onboarding and Orientation: Develop and manage onboarding programs to facilitate new hires’ seamless integration.
- Performance Management: Oversee appraisals, assist in goal-setting, and promote employee development.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a contact point for employee concerns, addressing workplace conflicts and fostering a positive environment.
- Compensation and Benefits: Manage payroll, benefits administration, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Training and Development: Identify employee training needs, arrange relevant programs, and assess outcomes to improve productivity.
- HR Policies and Compliance: Develop policies aligned with Nigerian labor laws, ensuring lawful and ethical HR practices.
- Health and Safety: Implement health and safety standards for employees working with POP and iron materials.
- Reporting: Prepare HR reports for management on staffing, attrition, performance, and key metrics.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in HR, with 2 years in the building materials industry (POP/iron rod preferred).
- Skills and Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and discretion with confidential matters.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the construction materials sector.
- Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in the building materials industry.
- Proximity to Yaba, Surulere, or Unilag Akoka areas.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
- Not more than 40 years old.
Salary:
₦300,000 – ₦400,000 Monthly
