Fleet Operations Officer at GUO Transport Company Limited

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the company’s fleet.
- Ensure vehicles and bikes are well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and meet safety standards.
- Develop and optimize efficient route plans to enhance vehicle efficiency and reduce transit time.
- Implement and oversee a preventive maintenance program for all fleet vehicles and bikes.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff and external service providers for timely repairs and inspections.
- Stay updated on local and national transportation regulations and ensure driver compliance.
- Recruit, train, and supervise drivers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to drivers.
- Develop and manage budgets for fleet operations, including fuel expenses, maintenance costs, and vehicle acquisitions.
- Identify and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize operational expenses.
- Generate reports on fleet performance, analyzing fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and delivery metrics.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by executives.
Technical & Professional Requirements
- Education: OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience: 2 – 4 years in fleet management or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of current trends in the transport and logistics industry.
- Familiarity with project management and business processes.
- Proficiency in Power BI and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of vehicle tracking systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Team player with good presentation skills.
Salary
₦150,000 – ₦300,000 Monthly
