Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Wellhead Technician to join our operations. The successful candidate will install, inspect, maintain, and repair wellhead systems, ensuring safe and efficient production activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and set up wellhead systems, including Christmas trees, valves, blowout preventers (BOPs), casing heads, and pressure control systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify wear, corrosion, and potential issues.
  • Perform functional tests on valves, BOPs, and other pressure control equipment.
  • Execute repairs or replace faulty wellhead components to minimize production downtime.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance to maintain optimal equipment performance.
  • Report operational issues, safety concerns, and potential risks to supervisors and managers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in wellhead engineering, well integrity management, or related fields within the upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Experience working with major International Oil Companies (IOCs) or leading Indigenous Operators is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of well integrity principles and risk management.
  • Ability to interpret well schematics, technical drawings, and engineering reports.
  • Strong project management, leadership, and troubleshooting skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of API 6A, API 17D, ASME, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Professional certifications such as IWCF Well Intervention Level 4, API 6A Certification, or equivalent are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and wellhead modeling tools.
