Job Description
We are looking to hire a Business Relationship Manager who will be responsible for merchant acquisition, developing sales strategies, and identifying business growth opportunities within the local market.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in business development activities and solicit new business through the sale of Moniepoint’s products and services
- Cross-sell banking and payment solutions to existing clients
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities via cold calling, networking, and social media
- Create and execute marketing strategies to achieve sales targets
- Conduct daily sales meetings to review performance and plan for upcoming activities
- Manage and maintain current business relationships to drive retention
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
- Participate in trade fairs, community events, and cluster marketing initiatives
- Prepare and deliver presentations on products and services
- Collaborate with internal teams to share customer feedback and refine offerings
- Understand customer financial needs and recommend appropriate products or services
Requirements / Qualifications
- Tertiary education from a recognized institution
- 4–5 years of in-depth sales experience, preferably in banking, fintech, or related industries
- Strong understanding of the local financial services landscape
- Proven track record in onboarding and managing merchants, with experience selling lending services and POS devices to corporates
- Established network of enterprise-level merchant contacts is an advantage
- Excellent business acumen and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet targets with minimal supervision
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
