Senior Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for a self-driven and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this key role, you will ensure our financial records are accurate, compliant, and aligned with our growth goals in the QSR industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor all company transactions, validating inflow and outflow
• Maintain detailed records of cash outflows and receipts
• Provide financial insights through data analysis and reporting
• Prepare and analyze account entries for assets, liabilities, and capital accounts
• Document and verify financial transactions
• Summarize financial status via balance sheets, P&L statements, and other reports
• Audit documents and substantiate financial records
• Develop and recommend accounting policies and internal controls
• Coordinate with and guide accounting clerical staff
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by investigating account information
• Backup financial databases and maintain data security
• Verify and process payment disbursements
• Respond to accounting inquiries and interpret financial regulations
• Ensure compliance with financial laws and advise on regulatory changes
• Prepare special financial reports based on current trends and data
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial information

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field
• 5–11 years of relevant accounting experience
• Relevant certifications (e.g. ICAN, ACCA) or a Master’s degree is a plus
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Experience in financial control, accounting supervision, or as a senior accountant
• Proficiency with FreshBooks, QuickBooks, and general ledger systems
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes

Salary

₦450,000 – ₦500,000 monthly
