About the Role

As a Fund Recovery Officer, you will be responsible for identifying, managing, and recovering funds resulting from unauthorized, erroneous, or fraudulent transactions. This includes liaising with customers, financial institutions, and law enforcement agencies to ensure successful fund recovery and minimal financial loss or reputational damage to the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate unauthorized or erroneous transactions and analyze anomalies for early detection
  • Track and manage a high-volume caseload of fund recovery cases
  • Document and report investigations, maintaining detailed records for compliance and internal use
  • Collaborate with banks, customers, and law enforcement to facilitate timely recoveries
  • Proactively prevent fraud through account monitoring and anomaly detection
  • Support compliance and legal teams during regulatory processes and court proceedings
  • Maintain strong communication with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Provide fraud awareness training across departments
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Banking or a related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in payments operations or a similar role
  • Solid knowledge of electronic transactions and online banking platforms
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Experience working with law enforcement and regulatory bodies is a plus
