JAMB recently announced release of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results provides critical information for prospective higher education candidates in Nigeria. Whether one's intent is to pursue admission to a university, polytechnic, college, or an alternative educational institution, the JAMB result constitutes an indispensable element of the application process. Accessing these results is facilitated through the online (CAPS) platform and SMS methods, with a substantial number of candidates having successfully retrieved their results using these channels. Furthermore, it has been verified that additional previously withheld results have been made available by JAMB. According to a statement from the JAMB Spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the total number of released results currently stands at 1,879,437.
Check Your Result Via SMS
Checking your JAMB result through SMS is a straightforward and convenient process. All you need to do is::
- Ensure that your phone number use to register of get your Profile code has at least #50 in balance to cover the cost of sending the SMS.
- Send “UTME RESULT” or “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number you registered with.
- You will receive a response depending on your specific situation:
- Unregistered Phone Number: You will receive a message saying, “This phone number was not used for registration.”
- Results Available: A message like “Dear ABCDE FGHIDK LMNOPQ, Reg Number: 2024XXXXXXXXXX. Your 2024 UTME Result: ENG: XX, MAT: XX, PHY:XX, CHE: XX, Aggregate: XXX” will be sent.
- Results Withheld: If applicable, you’ll receive a “Result Withheld” notification.
- Clarification Needed: Some candidates will receive “Result withheld pending the upload of clarifications/document required from you.”
- Candidate Absent: This message is sent to candidates who missed their exams.
- Registration Number Cancelled: If your registration number was cancelled, you will be informed.
- Unauthorised Access: A message like “Invalid Entrance into the Exam Hall” will be sent to those who gained unauthorised access.
Check Your Result Via JAMB CAPS Portal
Candidates who are experiencing difficulties accessing their results as a result of issues such as loss of SIM cards, technical challenges, or logistical constraints are advised to proceed with result checking on the JAMB CAPS portal. However, the scores have recently been removed from the CAPS following the enhancement of the user interface of the portal by JAMB.
