Account Officer at Kellogg’s Tolaram Nigeria Limited (KTNL)

Kellogg Tolaram Nigeria Limited (KTNL) is a joint venture between Kellogg Company USA and Tolaram Group of Singapore. Established in 2015, KTNL focuses on developing the cereal and snack business in Nigeria and West Africa. The company has a cereal plant in the Lagos Free Trade Zone and has been manufacturing locally since 2018, contributing to the economy and supporting local farmers.

Job Purpose:

The Account Officer is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting financial reporting in a dynamic FMCG environment. Key tasks include overseeing accounts payable/receivable, managing inventory accounts, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, and reconcile account balances.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure tax compliance and assist in internal and external audits.
  • Liaise with vendors and customers to resolve financial issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ensuring accurate valuation and effective cost control.
  • Track daily and monthly sales performance and assist with cash flow management.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses against forecasts.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years in accounting, preferably within the FMCG industry.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
    • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ICAN) or in-progress certification.
    • Advanced Excel skills and experience with large datasets.
    • Familiarity with the high transaction volume and complexity in FMCG.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
