Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant with a strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance. The Accountant will handle financial records, prepare reports, and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
• Analyze financial data for decision-making insights.

General Ledger Management:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Ensure accurate recording and reporting of all transactions.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Ensure timely invoice payments and receivable collections.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in creating annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and perform variance analysis.

Compliance and Auditing:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation.

Tax Preparation and Filing:

• Prepare and file tax returns in line with regulations.
• Stay updated on tax law changes.

Payroll Management:

• Process payroll for timely and accurate employee payments.
• Maintain payroll records for compliance.

Financial Systems and Software:

• Use accounting software for financial data management.
• Improve financial processes and systems.

Documentation and Record-Keeping:

• Maintain accurate, organized financial records and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
• Strong grasp of accounting principles and reporting.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ethical conduct and integrity.

Salary

₦300,000 – ₦400,000 Monthly
