Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Research Economist to lead our research team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting economic research, analyzing data, and providing strategic recommendations to clients. Additionally, he will work with a team of researchers, ensuring high-quality outputs and timely delivery of projects.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

§  Conduct economic research on various issues, including market trends, industry analysis, and policy developments.

§  Conduct market research on client business and its competitors, analyze data to derive meaningful insights and forecast.

§  Develop proposals which include business plans, strategy plan, and retreat proposals outlining processes, financial implications, team composition, company profiles, and relevant past projects.

§  Lead and manage a team of researchers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.

§  Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify research priorities and project opportunities.

§  Prepare and present research findings, reports, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.

§  Stay updated on economic trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to inform research projects and strategic recommendations.

§  Identify and create new business opportunities through existing networks and by establishing new contacts.

§  Review and analyze the efficacy of the implementation of business strategies.

§  Devise strategies to increase revenue, cut costs, and promote business growth.

§  Provide editorial services and act as a rapporteur when necessary.

Job Requirements

§  B.Sc. in Economics, Social Sciences, or any Finance related fields (minimum of 2:2/Upper Credit); Master’s and professional qualifications are added advantage.

§  5 – 7 years of work experience in a research/strategy role (Consulting experience will be added advantage)

§  Strong proficiency in economic research and analysis.

§  Excellent report writing skills, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

§  Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

§  Effective communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey complex economic concepts in a clear and concise manner.

§  Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.

§  Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

§  Good team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

§  Proficiency in MS Office and contemporary data management software.
