Job Summary

The Backend Developer will oversee the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that drive the Lodge Compliance web and mobile applications. This role involves collaborating closely with the front-end development team to create seamless, high-performance applications and implement new features.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage server-side logic and APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application functionality and performance.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Contribute to the development and upkeep of documentation for backend systems.
• Work alongside front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize and scale applications for maximum performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with team members to define project requirements and specifications.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and promote knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in server-side languages such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL database management systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with web application architecture and RESTful API design.
• Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
