We are currently seeking a Backend Developer (Graduate Trainee) to join our team in Gbagada, Lagos.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software systems to meet customer requirements. You’ll collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Development Managers to ensure that software projects align with business needs.

Job Key Responsibilities:

• Proficient in PHP and frameworks such as Laravel/Lumen
• Strong grasp of SOLID programming principles
• Skilled in working with third-party packages and codebases
• Committed to Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience in designing, integrating, and implementing APIs
• Familiarity with relational databases
• Proficiency with modern development tools including version control systems, preprocessors, and task runners
• Knowledge of cloud computing architectures
• Comfortable with Linux servers and basic DevOps tasks
• Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, designers, and fellow developers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Experience working in small cross-functional Agile teams to develop complex systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or B.Eng Degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience
