Position: Brand Manager – Home Care
Location: Lagos
Reports to: Category Lead, Home Care

Job Purpose:

Leverage in-depth knowledge of African consumers, customers, and the competitive landscape to develop and implement brand strategies that align with group objectives.

Key Relationships:
  • Regional Marketing Team
  • Brand Development & Activation Team
  • Cross-functional Teams (Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, HR, NPD, Consumer Insights, Digital)
  • Advertising Agencies & Service Providers
Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute brand strategies to grow market share, volume, value, and profitability.
  • Support budgeted brand profitability by sustaining brand performance through effective strategies.
  • Monitor and report on brand performance using key metrics (NNS, GM, MC) and consumer KPIs (awareness, trial, attribute rating, etc.).
  • Identify and exploit new growth opportunities for the brand.
  • Lead the NPD process, ensuring successful management and delivery.
  • Gather consumer insights and research findings to inform brand strategy.
  • Define product pricing policies within the brand portfolio.
  • Develop regional communication materials aligned with brand strategy and support CBU brand plans.
  • Participate in company-wide initiatives such as margin improvement.
  • Identify resources needed to support brand growth.
Job Context & Special Features:
  • In-country and regional travel may be required.
  • International travel may be necessary.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends when required.
Qualifications, Experience & Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7 years of proven experience in Brand Management
  • Professional qualification in Marketing is essential
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other IT tools

  • Brand Champion: Brand propositions, Strategy
  • Profit and Growth Champion: Commercial delivery, Route to Market (RTM)
