Job Description:

The Business Manager is responsible for planning, monitoring, and ensuring the achievement of customer and revenue market share objectives for zonal operations. This includes overseeing network operations, customer service, channel management, and market expansion by managing multiple teams to deliver operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Increase Revenue Earning Customer Net Additions – Prepaid:
    • Identify and formulate zonal sales strategies to drive gross additions.
    • Monitor churn and grace periods, ensuring compliance on activations.
    • Oversee activation processes to meet turnaround times.
  • Increase Revenue Earning Customer Net Additions – Postpaid:
    • Develop and implement zonal sales strategies to drive gross additions.
    • Monitor churn and grace periods for postpaid customers.
    • Supervise activation processes to ensure compliance.
  • Achieve Net Revenue of the Zone:
    • Propose and implement strategies to drive collections and reduce bad debts.
    • Focus on VAS (Value-Added Services) up-selling activities.
    • Reduce recharge turnovers and first-bill churn.
  • Deliver on Channel Satisfaction Score:
    • Conduct audits and reviews of channel partners and distributors to ensure healthy ROI.
    • Ensure timely disbursement of claims and regular trade servicing.
    • Design and implement channel delight activities to improve partner satisfaction.
  • Enhance Showroom Experience:
    • Develop customer service strategies to improve satisfaction scores.
    • Ensure showroom infrastructure meets standards and is up-to-date.
    • Ensure showroom employees receive industry training and certifications.
  • Achieve Employee Engagement Scores:
    • Motivate frontline employees through leadership by example.
    • Implement action plans to address issues from employee engagement surveys.
  • Expand Distribution Width and Depth:
    • Formulate and implement sales strategies to drive distribution across showrooms and dealer service agents.
    • Ensure active Easy Charge outlets align with expansion goals.
    • Establish SIM-selling and other retail outlets as a percentage of Easy Charge outlets.
  • Network Coverage & Quality:
    • Optimize network performance.
    • Oversee new site ROI and deployment.
    • Ensure ZTOs deliver cell availability, call quality, and minimize site outages.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related Social Sciences.
    • Master’s in Business Administration is preferred.
  • Experience & Skills:
    • 10+ years of experience in Sales & Marketing, with at least 2 years in middle management.
    • Experience in the Telecom industry is desirable.
    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Customer-centric mindset with a deep understanding of sales systems and processes.
    • Creative and self-motivated with a strong results orientation.
