Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Consultant to support the development and delivery of consulting engagements across diverse sectors. The successful candidate will conduct research, prepare business and consulting documents, develop proposals and strategic plans, support project implementation, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and contribute to the firm's thought leadership initiatives.

The ideal candidate is strategic, analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of translating complex information into practical recommendations and high-quality client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
Research & Analysis
  • Conduct market, industry, policy, regulatory, and competitor research.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Prepare research reports, briefing notes, and insight papers.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities relevant to client projects.
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping, environmental scans, organizational assessments, and business diagnostics.
Consulting & Advisory
  • Support the planning and execution of consulting engagements.
  • Participate in client meetings, workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder consultations.
  • Develop evidence-based recommendations and advisory reports.
  • Support organizational development, strategy, governance, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare professional client presentations and consulting deliverables.
Proposal & Business Documentation
  • Develop concept notes, business proposals, business cases, and project frameworks.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, strategic plans, operational plans, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Draft policies, procedures, organizational manuals, project charters, work plans, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Produce high-quality, client-ready consulting documents that meet professional standards.
Project Management
  • Coordinate project activities and monitor deliverables.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, implementation, and reporting.
  • Track project milestones and prepare progress reports.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and liaise with clients, partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries.
  • Support client onboarding and project initiation.
  • Participate in business development activities and represent the firm during meetings and engagements.
Knowledge Management
  • Contribute to the development of consulting templates and methodologies.
  • Maintain research databases and knowledge resources.
  • Support thought leadership initiatives through articles, reports, and publications.
  • Participate in internal planning and strategy sessions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Quality and accuracy of consulting deliverables.
  • Timely execution of assigned projects.
  • Quality of research outputs and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, Management, Social Sciences, International Development, Law, Finance, or a related field.
  • A Master's Degree is an added advantage.
  • Relevant professional certifications are desirable.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in consulting, advisory services, business support, strategy, research, project management, organizational development, or related fields.

This is more than a traditional analyst role. We are looking for a consultant who can think critically, engage stakeholders confidently, conduct rigorous research, develop practical solutions, and produce client-ready outputs with minimal supervision.
