Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious Dispatch Rider to handle the timely and secure delivery of packages, documents, and other items to customers and designated locations within Surulere and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent knowledge of Lagos roads, strong time-management skills, professionalism, and a commitment to safe riding and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Operations

• Safely and efficiently deliver packages, documents, and other items to customers and designated locations.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed promptly and in good condition.
• Obtain proof of delivery where required.

Route Planning & Navigation

• Plan efficient delivery routes to minimize travel time and ensure timely deliveries.
• Use GPS, Google Maps, and other navigation tools effectively.
• Maintain good knowledge of Surulere and surrounding areas.

Package Handling

• Handle all packages and documents carefully to prevent damage, loss, or misplacement.
• Verify items before departure and upon delivery.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions.
• Provide regular updates to the Dispatch/Operations Team.
• Report delays, incidents, failed deliveries, or other challenges promptly.

Customer Service

• Interact with customers in a polite, professional, and courteous manner.
• Represent the company positively during all customer interactions.
• Resolve routine delivery issues promptly and escalate complex matters to the appropriate supervisor.

Motorcycle Maintenance & Safety

• Conduct routine checks on the delivery motorcycle before use.
• Report mechanical faults and ensure the motorcycle remains in safe operating condition.
• Observe all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
• Follow all company safety procedures when transporting goods.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent.
• Valid motorcycle/rider's licence and all required riding documents.
• Proven experience as a Dispatch Rider or in a similar role.
• Good knowledge of Lagos roads, particularly Surulere and surrounding areas.
• Ability to use GPS, Google Maps, and other navigation applications.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of the role.
• Clean and responsible riding record.
• Reliable, punctual, honest, and highly responsible.
