Position Summary
The Engineering Intern / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) will support the structural engineering team in preparing calculations, drawings, and technical documentation under the supervision of experienced engineers. This role is designed to provide early-career engineers with practical exposure to engineering design, construction practices, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with structural calculations and engineering analysis
- Prepare drawings and technical details using AutoCAD and Revit
- Support preparation of engineering calculation packages
- Review vendor drawings and equipment submittals
- Assist with quantity takeoffs and preliminary load calculations
- Support project documentation and engineering file organization
- Participate in site visits and field observations when required
- Assist with responding to RFIs and coordination requests from project teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or currently pursuing)
- Strong understanding of structural engineering fundamentals
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or engineering calculation tools
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
