Job Title: Graphic Design Intern

Location: Remote

Role Overview

The Graphic Design Intern will support Wale University’s branding, digital communication, and content creation efforts. You will design visuals for social media, online courses, marketing campaigns, and institutional publications. This role provides the opportunity to build a strong portfolio while contributing to meaningful educational impact across Africa.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create engaging graphics for social media, flyers, banners, digital ads, and promotional materials
  • Support development of visual assets for online courses, presentations, and learning materials
  • Collaborate with content, marketing, and academic teams to design visually appealing campaign materials
  • Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all Wale University platforms
  • Design infographics, icon sets, and templates for recurring institutional needs
  • Work with AI design tools (e.g., Canva Magic Studio, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, DALL-E) to generate creative assets as needed
  • Edit photos and prepare assets for publication across multiple channels
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for creative direction and campaign visuals
  • Help manage and organize the digital asset library for easy retrieval and reuse
Preferred Skills & Competencies
  • Strong proficiency in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar design tools
  • Ability to use AI graphic tools effectively (bonus advantage)
  • Good understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple design tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a virtual team
  • Basic motion graphics or video editing skills (added advantage)
