Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Facility Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance, operations, and upkeep of the company’s facilities, utilities, equipment, and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will supervise maintenance activities, coordinate contractors and service providers, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and maintain a safe, functional, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily maintenance and upkeep of company facilities, utilities, buildings, and surrounding areas.
• Ensure the proper functioning of power, water, plumbing, air-conditioning, and other building systems.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and oversee facility repairs.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure maintenance issues are identified and resolved promptly.
• Supervise cleaning, waste management, landscaping, and general facility upkeep.
• Manage vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality and timely service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, facility safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, asset registers, and facility documentation.
• Supervise facility maintenance personnel and ensure efficient allocation of duties.
• Monitor the condition and performance of facility equipment and recommend repairs or replacements where necessary.
• Support facility improvement projects and recommend measures to improve operational efficiency.
• Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.

Requirements

• HND or Bachelor's Degree in Estate Management, Facilities Management, Building Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of facility operations, preventive maintenance systems, and workplace safety standards.
• Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.
• Knowledge of Nigerian regulatory requirements, HSE standards, and facility safety practices is an added advantage.
