Position Overview:

We are seeking a Facilities Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing the maintenance and operations of our facilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing projects to enhance our workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Management:
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs.
    • Develop and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for building systems and equipment.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate records of equipment functionality and maintenance activities.
    • Document repairs and system updates for performance tracking.
  • Compliance Oversight:
    • Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules and safety regulations.
    • Monitor compliance with relevant building codes and standards.
  • Team Coordination:
    • Supervise contractors and building service technicians to ensure quality work.
    • Oversee housekeeping and groundskeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Project Management:
    • Define and manage the scope of maintenance projects, including refurbishments.
    • Prepare cost estimates and oversee project execution from start to finish.
  • Space Management:
    • Allocate facility space efficiently to meet operational needs and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Central Services Management:
    • Oversee services such as reception, security, cleaning, waste disposal, and energy management, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Contract Management:
    • Evaluate and manage service contracts to ensure quality service delivery, making amendments as necessary.
  • Emergency Response:
    • Address urgent maintenance issues promptly and manage emergency response protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Regularly assess and improve maintenance practices based on feedback and performance data.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Architecture.
  • 8-10 years of experience in facilities management post-NYSC.
  • Knowledge of building services installation, national building codes, and project management.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body is preferred.
