Factory Engineer at Unilever Nigeria Plc

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Factory Engineer to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained, repaired, and upgraded to avoid downtime and ensure safety.
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve plant processes to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize energy and raw material usage.
- Project Management: Lead installation of new machinery, facility expansions, and process improvement projects.
- Training and Supervision: Mentor maintenance technicians and ensure safe and efficient equipment operation training.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance, machine performance, safety inspections, and compliance reports.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Implement sustainable practices and energy-saving technologies to reduce environmental impact.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Coordinate with suppliers for equipment procurement, spare parts, and technical support.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve mechanical or operational issues to minimize disruptions.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage budgets for maintenance and capital expenditures, finding cost-effective solutions for repairs and improvements.
Experiences & Qualifications:
- BEng./B.TECH/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a reputable institution.
- 5–10+ years of experience in FMCG companies.
- Experience in TPM, WCM, or Manufacturing Excellence.
- Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma is an advantage.
Skills:
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership: Ability to deliver excellent results and collaborate effectively with others.
