Job Description

We are hiring for a Field Worker III at International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) who will be assist in setting up field trials and general field maintenance.

Duration: 6 months (renewable)

Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting up field trials and support phenotyping and data collection for station trials.
  • Conduct pollination on crossing blocks and handle general field maintenance.
  • Apply herbicides and insecticides for field trial management.
  • Maintain trials in screen houses and glass houses.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor as needed.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of O’level education with at least three (3) years of experience in a similar role within a structured environment.
  • Experience in agriculture or a related field is a plus.
Competencies

The ideal candidate should:

  • Be proficient in using the Field Book application for data entry.
  • Have a good understanding of Microsoft Office tools.
