We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of:

Job Title: Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Coordinator

Location: Abuja

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Job Responsibilities:
Strategic:
  • Ensure compliance with national and international workplace safety regulations and global best practices.
  • Develop and audit in-house safety procedures.
  • Coordinate HSE programs to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Review and enhance safety policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Train colleagues to meet established safety objectives.
Operational:
  • Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions, unsafe work practices, and environmental exposures.
  • Monitor safety tools and equipment on-site.
  • Stay informed about new HSE developments in the renewable energy industry and government regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with the Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) and related procedures.
  • Prepare and submit monthly compliance reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Provide statistical incident information to all levels of the organization.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a related field (Masters’ degree is a plus).
  • Hardworking with flexibility to work in shifts.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with extraordinary attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools.
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight reporting schedules.
