Hotel Manager at Checkers Suites and Apartments
Checkers Suites and Apartments is a modern hotel offering a luxurious yet comfortable experience. Situated strategically between Abuja Airport and the Central Business District, it’s ideal for business and corporate guests. This 20-room facility features elegantly furnished Deluxe Executive Suites, Presidential Suites, and one- and two-bedroom luxury suites.
Job Summary:
We seek an experienced Hotel Manager to lead and develop our operational strategy, ensuring high guest satisfaction and meeting financial performance goals. This role requires close collaboration with the Managing Director to enhance brand initiatives and drive operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee departmental budgets to drive guest satisfaction and financial results.
- Review financial reports and analyze departmental performance to optimize profitability.
- Manage operational budgets, monitoring expenses without compromising guest experience.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve financial and operational performance.
- Property Operations:
- Continuously work on enhancing service performance and guest experience.
- Communicate operational goals to the team, ensuring alignment with the brand’s service standards.
- Regularly tour the property to engage with guests and assess operational efficiency.
- Leadership & HR Management:
- Set a vision for product and service delivery in line with brand values.
- Maintain a fair work environment, provide feedback, and conduct annual performance reviews.
- Foster team commitment to excellent service, modeling desired service behaviors for all staff.
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- HND in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field with 8 years’ relevant experience; OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years’ experience in hotel management, sales, or marketing.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Proven success in delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Proficiency in hotel software and booking systems.
- Flexible schedule, including availability on nights and weekends.
- Residency in or near Kuje or Sabon-Lugbe is highly preferred for accessibility.
