Hotel Receptionist Supervisor at Hotel Capitol

Hotel Capitol is a modern and contemporary three-star hotel offering luxury and comfort at its best. Strategically located in the heart of Omole Phase 1, Lagos, the hotel features 32 tastefully furnished deluxe executive and super executive rooms, alongside one- and two-bedroom luxury suites. Its central location provides excellent access to Lagos mainland and other parts of the city.

Location: Ojodu-Ikeja, Lagos

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize, direct, and monitor the daily activities of the Receptionist.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities of the hotel Receptionist.
  • Monitor and maintain the front desk area.
  • Review daily room availability and inform appropriate staff.
  • Deliver outstanding customer care at all times.
  • Handle inquiries from potential guests and accept hotel reservations.
  • Review daily departures and relay pertinent information to front desk agents and staff.
  • Complete necessary reports and forms daily.
  • Resolve guest problems and complaints efficiently and with urgency.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information, and guest concerns promptly.
  • Supervise daily shift processes to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Cross-check billing instructions for accuracy.
  • Update front desk logbooks and hotel logbooks.
  • Follow guest check-in and security procedures, reporting suspicious activity when necessary.
  • Assume responsibility in the absence of the Hotel Manager and Assistant Hotel Manager.
  • Coordinate schedules and expedite workflow for the front desk team.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel services, facilities, policies, room rates, and local attractions.
Qualifications
  • Minimum B.Sc from a recognized university; professional certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a 4-star hotel environment.
  • Proficiency in hotel reservation software such as Active 360/BioDus.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work day/night and weekend shifts.
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and multitasking skills.
  • Positive attitude under pressure, professional demeanor, and appearance.
  • Candidates should reside within the Akute, Agege, Ogba, Ikeja, Ojodu, and Iyana Ipaja axis.
Salary

₦72,000 – ₦120,000 per month
