Job Objective

The primary aim of this role is to uphold FMN PLC’s dedication to enhancing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance by ensuring adherence to health safety and environment objectives and compliance with local regulatory standards, with the goal of preventing injuries and maintaining a secure work environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and communicate HSE management systems in alignment with OHSAS ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
• Provide timely advice and prioritize activities based on OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Create programs and strategies to achieve Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) objectives.
• Execute management strategies to prevent workplace injuries and environmental incidents, meeting annual targets set by management for HSE performance.
• Oversee the plant’s Health, Safety, and Environment program and conduct internal audits of safety management systems.
• Promote HSE practices to ensure staff compliance with health, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Regularly review safety protocols and recommend adjustments as needed.

Qualification

• B.Sc./HND in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
• Additional qualification in Occupational Health & Safety (HSE level 3) is advantageous.
• NEBOSH Certificate and membership in the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) are desirable.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
