Responsibilities:

• As an HSE Officer, your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to: Implementing safety manuals/guidelines at designated sites.
• Developing policies, plans, and procedures to minimize risks. Training employees on safe work practices, fire fighting, emergency response plans, and first aid.
• Supervising fire drills at the site. Conducting monthly safety committee meetings to review identified hazards.
• Preparing safety manuals, emergency response plans, spill prevention plans, and firefighting plans for the plant.
• Observing work in progress to ensure proper safety equipment is used and procedures are followed. Implementing Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) at the site.
• Making recommendations for corrections and ensuring violations are rectified.
• Performing monthly inspections and preparing reports. Auditing permits for hot work, confined space, and working at height. Maintaining high standards of housekeeping at the site.
• Educating employees on near-miss reporting.

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of similar experience, preferably in a power plant.
• Fluency in English is essential.
