Job Overview:

The Security Intelligence Analyst will oversee the collection and synthesis of all available security-related information. The primary goal is to identify trends and potential threats that could impact SPDC’s assets and operations within its operational areas. This role involves analyzing gathered data to provide timely tactical and strategic intelligence support to Company Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research, evaluate, and analyze security information from various sources to support security decision-making.
  • Manage the intelligence cycle and processes within the Security Information Services (SIS), including information collection, processing, and delivery of products.
  • Prepare actionable security reports, including Threat Assessments (TAs), Situation Reports (SITREPS), and Security Risk Assessments (SRAs).
  • Conduct background research on relevant players and security-related events.
  • Provide regular threat updates and intelligence reports.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the political and security environment in SPDC’s operational areas.
  • Identify trends and provide timely tactical and strategic intelligence support to Company Operations.
Key Requirements:
  • Good understanding of the E&P business and the local environment.
  • Strategic thinker and effective communicator.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Familiarity with Shell Group HSE policies, standards, and procedures, and Global Security processes.
  • Knowledge of VPHSR, Ethics and Compliance, FCPA principles.
  • Ability to network, influence key stakeholders, and lead security delivery processes.
  • Prior intelligence background in the oil industry or Government Security Agency is desirable.
  • Membership of Security Organizations such as ASIS is an added advantage.
