IT Assistant Manager at Worknigeria

Purpose:

The IT Assistant Manager will manage the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, and services, ensuring optimal operation of hardware, software, and network resources. Responsibilities include ERP system support, vendor management, and developing IT policies and procedures to align with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and communication systems (internet, VoIP).
  • Ensure system optimization, troubleshoot issues, and perform hardware/software maintenance.
  • Manage data backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • Provide technical support for employees across locations.
  • Support ERP system (e.g., Sage 300) management, functionality, and updates.
  • Liaise with vendors for ERP and critical software systems maintenance.
  • Implement IT policies for security, data protection, and compliance.
  • Maintain cybersecurity protocols, network security, and firewall protection.
  • Conduct regular IT audits to identify risks and areas for improvement.
  • Manage IT-related vendors and asset inventory.
  • Lead IT projects, including systems upgrades and installations.
  • Manage the annual IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Supervise IT team, setting tasks and deadlines.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Ensure IT service continuity by overseeing SLAs and monitoring systems performance.
  • Implement disaster recovery, data protection, and control structures.
  • Regular reporting on IT infrastructure and project status.
Key Interfaces:
  • Internal departments, IT service providers, software vendors, and technology stakeholders.
Supervises:
  • IT support staff, system administrators, network engineers.
KPIs:
  • System uptime and reliability
  • Project completion within budget and timelines
  • User satisfaction ratings
  • Security incidents and resolutions

Key Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s or certifications (ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years in IT management, including IT infrastructure, ERP systems, and technical support team management.
  • Skills: Proficient in managing network infrastructure, ERP systems, cybersecurity best practices, and cloud solutions.
  • Certifications: ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, or similar credentials are highly desirable.
Salary:

₦500,000 – ₦700,000 monthly
