Key Accounts Manager At Pearson

Job Description:
The Key Accounts Manager will drive Pearson’s market share and revenue within the Nigerian and Western African academic sector. Reporting to the Head of Sales, the role requires understanding of the local academic landscape, Pearson’s global strategy, and the latest trends in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Performance:
- Drive revenue growth and expand Pearson’s market share in Higher Education (HE) products and digital solutions.
- Identify and strategize sales plans for key accounts with support from the Head of Sales.
- Develop strategies for sales, supply management, and payment collections with authorized distributors.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, universities, and corporate partners.
- Collaborate with university stakeholders to align Pearson’s products with academic programs and grow institutional sales.
- Work with internal teams for targeted campaigns and efficient customer support.
- Market Intelligence & New Opportunities:
- Identify new products and services based on market insights, positioning Pearson as an education leader.
- Proactively prospect new revenue streams and execute new business projects, ensuring alignment with leadership.
- Customer-Centricity:
- Ensure customer needs are central to decisions and interactions, focusing on customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with instructors to align Pearson products with teaching goals and increase adoption.
- Leadership of Self:
- Operate independently with a collaborative team approach, embodying Pearson’s values in all professional interactions.
- Maintain accurate sales records in Salesforce.com and report progress on targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven record of customer engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in sales with a track record of achieving revenue targets.
- Self-motivated, organized, with effective time-management skills for independent and team settings.
