We focus on providing additional and exceptional services through value-added and end-to-end HR services, helping clients maximize and build operational efficiency.

Job Description:

The Legal Officer will support the legal and secretariat functions at Total Data Limited by ensuring effective board communications, organizing board meetings, administering contracts, and advising on corporate governance. Their role includes preventing statutory and contractual liabilities, promoting best practices, and reducing legal and compliance costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and supervise the review and administration of contracts, including MOAs, commercial agreements, leases, and other legal instruments.
• Ensure the conduct of regular internal legal audits and internal due diligence concerning the company’s contracts.
• Provide advice on company laws, corporate secretariat, and governance practices.
• Maintain confidentiality in processing board decisions, deliberations, and information.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders of diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Possess knowledge of the oil & gas regulatory framework; relevant experience in energy industry and engineering laws is an added advantage.
• Act as a company spokesperson and advocate for corporate governance.

Requirements:

• LLB, BL.
• MBA or MSc in Corporate Governance is an advantage.
• Membership in the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) is highly preferred.
• 6 to 8 years post-call-to-bar experience, with a strong corporate background.
• Ability to apply jurisprudence and tact in practical situations.
• Confidence and professionalism in dealing with executive and non-executive directors.

Salary:

₦400,000 – ₦500,000 monthly.
