Procurement Officer at Zetech Oil Service Company
The Procurement Officer supports the procurement team in ensuring the efficiency and integrity of processes for the procurement of goods and services at Zetech Oil Service Company Limited.
Responsibilities
Procurement of Goods and Services:
- Perform procurement functions for goods and services with utmost integrity.
- Review technical data sheets and ensure materials quoted meet specifications.
- Provide coaching and mentoring for supervisees to perform procurement functions.
- Support in updating the vendor database.
- Support procurement committee functions.
- Ensure compliance with the document retention strategy for the department.
- Prioritize, evaluate, and manage procurement needs and opportunities.
- Coordinate procurement processes in collaboration with the Procurement Manager.
- Document all processes followed in procurement for references, audits, and third-party reviews.
Compliance:
- Support the Procurement Manager in ensuring compliance with Zetech Oil Servicing Company procurement regulations.
- Participate in review meetings to enhance compliance and implement improvements and best practices.
- Adhere to compliance indicators for procurement and track performance against them.
Sourcing:
- Follow established sourcing and procurement processes that promote transparency and integrity.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships to enhance initiatives that meet product quality, service delivery, and sustainable cost reductions while mitigating risks in procurement management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- MBA is highly desired.
- Purchasing-related certifications will be an added advantage.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement required.
- Knowledge of global sourcing and procurement strategies, tactics, processes, procedures, and systems.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to exercise good judgment in safeguarding sensitive information.
- Adaptable, creative, and collaborative, with the ability to think strategically.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (oral and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience supervising staff.
