Job Summary:

We are seeking a senior-level Project Coordinator responsible for overseeing the Projects Department (construction arm of the business). The ideal candidate will ensure all projects are delivered with exceptional quality, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all construction projects for the company.
• Ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of high-quality projects.
• Manage the entire project workforce, including staff, casual workers, and sub-contractors, from unskilled laborers to Engineers, Architects, and Project Managers.
• Coordinate and ensure efficient collaboration among the workforce on various projects.

Qualifications:

• Education: HND / B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Engineering, Architecture, or Building Technology (minimum requirement).
• Additional certifications like PMP and professional memberships are an advantage.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience, including 10 years as a contractor’s Site Manager and 5 years as a contractor’s Project Manager overseeing large projects.
  • Candidates must have risen through various roles in construction, from Site Engineer to Site Manager, Project Manager, and ideally Head of Projects.
  • Must have successfully handled 2 projects of 10-storey buildings or 2 projects valued at ₦5 million each from start to finish.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of construction contract administration (JCT or FIDIC).
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction process and ability to supervise teams effectively.
• Personal Qualities:
  • Honest, transparent, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work long hours, including weekends and public holidays, to meet project deadlines.
