Our client provides Integrated Risk Management (IRM) services, specializing in tank construction and rehabilitation, Automated Hydrocarbon Recovery and Tank Cleaning (AHRTC) services, industrial cleaning, and procurement. They serve major corporations in the oil and gas sector.
Job Summary
The Project/Tender Manager will lead project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring successful outcomes through effective coordination, resource management, and stakeholder communication. This role also involves managing the tendering process, from bid preparation to submission, while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, timeline, and resources.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
- Monitor and adapt project plans to align with business goals.
Tender Management:
- Oversee the full tender process, including proposal preparation and submission.
- Analyze tender documents to understand client requirements.
- Collaborate with teams to compile bid details and manage government tender processes.
- Conduct in-depth research to support bid and tender preparation.
Stakeholder Management:
- Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations to stakeholders.
Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure smooth project progression.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
Financial Oversight:
- Manage project budgets and monitor expenditures to meet financial targets.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and implement cost-saving measures.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality and regulatory standards.
- Perform inspections, audits, and reviews to maintain compliance with specifications.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related fields.
- Master’s degree or PMP certification is an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in project management within the oil and gas sector.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Strong experience managing bids and tenders.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and health/safety standards.
- Solid understanding of engineering principles and oil/gas operations.
Soft Skills:
- Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
