The objective of this project is to lay the foundation for reducing Post-Registration Import Sample Quantities in Emerging Markets, with a specific focus on Nigeria. This initiative can enhance the long-term sustainability of our business in these markets and significantly contribute to achieving Roche’s 10-year ambition.
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to support our efforts in post-registration laboratory testing of medicines, particularly in Nigeria and other African markets. The intern will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team to contribute to this ambitious project by ensuring quality control and regulatory compliance related to pharmaceutical products.
Job Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and document regulatory requirements for post-registration import sample testing in Nigeria and across Africa.
- Conduct research on the regulatory framework, guidelines, and practices governing post-registration laboratory testing of medicines in Nigeria and other African countries.
- Collect and analyze data on the quality, safety, and efficacy of pharmaceutical products available in the Nigerian and African markets.
- Drive the development and implementation of sampling plans, testing protocols, and quality assurance procedures for post-registration laboratory testing.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to gather information, share best practices, and address emerging issues related to pharmaceutical quality control.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations based on research findings and analysis of post-registration laboratory testing data.
- Assess industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies in the field of pharmaceutical quality control and testing.
Who You Are:
- Enrolled in or completed Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree at a university, preferably in life sciences (Biochemistry, Microbiology), Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical sciences, or Public health within the last 12 months, with an interest in applying knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship lasting at least 3 months.
- Experience in the regulatory landscape of the African continent and a passionate desire to positively influence regulatory policy.
- Excellent organizational skills and a flexible approach to task prioritization and execution.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a highly motivated group.
- Effective communication skills, with proficiency in written and verbal English (ability to communicate in local languages is a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Software applications.
- Regulatory certifications and experience with Drug Quality Control Laboratory testing are advantageous.
