Senior Security Information Specialist at Chevron Nigeria Limited
Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL) is one of Nigeria’s largest oil producers and a key investor in the region. We operate in partnership with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) across onshore and offshore assets in the Niger Delta. Additionally, we are involved in deepwater operations, including the Agbami Field, one of Nigeria’s largest deepwater discoveries, and hold a non-operated interest in the Usan Field.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Security Information Specialist to join our team, responsible for collecting, coordinating, and disseminating security information across the organization. The role involves conducting research, counterintelligence, and risk assessments to provide leadership with actionable intelligence for decision-making and proactive security management.
Key Responsibilities
- Information Gathering: Collect and monitor relevant security data from multiple sources, including local, regional, and national security issues.
- Analysis: Observe, corroborate, and analyze security-related developments to support functional stakeholders.
- Reporting: Produce and disseminate detailed reports to help the company make informed decisions and allocate resources effectively.
- Risk Surveys: Conduct and supervise risk surveys, threat assessments, and estimates.
- Intelligence Management: Maintain and manage the security information and intelligence database to ensure continuous, reliable information flow.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including security intelligence communities and industry peers.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, or an equivalent field.
- Higher degrees, security certifications from recognized professional organizations, and experience in relevant government security agencies are advantageous.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience in security information management.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to predict and forecast security situations.
- Experience conducting risk surveys and threat assessments.
- Knowledge of information risk management, data privacy, and information dissemination.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in complex environments and work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Innovative mindset, with the ability to implement solutions to challenging security situations.
