Job Description:

The Site Engineer will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and executing the construction of new buildings and bridges, as well as alterations and extensions to existing structures. This is a full-time, onsite role requiring a strong background in structural engineering, project management, and the use of CAD software.

Objectives of this Role:

• Interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Produce, edit, and revise plans, maps, charts, and drawings.
• Plan and schedule the work of construction workers.
• Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the job site.
• Install and repair various building components.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to understand needs and preferences.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Follow up with local authorities for building permits.
• Organize contractors such as plumbers, electricians, and carpenters.
• Prepare project quotes and timelines for client review.
• Ensure projects meet local codes, regulations, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
• Advise on best practices in building design and execution.
• Analyze project goals and perform structural calculations.
• Design structural elements using software like AutoCAD, Revit, or RISA.
• Oversee project management, including budget tracking and maintaining project databases.
• Review shop drawings and provide feedback.
• Perform field visits and write reports on project viability and progress.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of construction experience, with knowledge of structural/site engineering or building.
• Strong background in building technology and structural design.
• Proficiency in calculations and structural analysis.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, RISA).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Deep knowledge of construction materials and methodologies.
• Collaborative spirit with experience in teamwork.
• Previous experience in high-rise projects is a plus.
• Proven experience as a general builder or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team on-site.
