Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Account Officer to manage and oversee the financial operations of the company. The successful candidate will maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the company’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and summaries.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditures.
- Manage payroll, including processing employee salaries and deductions.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to management.
- Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and legal requirements.
- Manage cash flow and recommend improvements to financial processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Account Officer or in a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Soft Skills: Attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proximity to the office is a bonus.
- Candidates can also be considered for a junior accountant role.
Salary
₦150,000 – ₦180,000 Monthly
