Currently, FlexiSAF serves as a technology partner to 500 schools and boasts a team of over 100 dedicated professionals. Prior to its formal registration as FlexiSAF EduSoft Limited in 2012, the business operated under the name FlexiSAF Tech. Solutions Ltd. starting from 2008.

Job Description

This position is remote.

The FlexiSAF Internship Program is available to individuals who are dynamic, creative, and full of energy and are eager to acquire technical skills in Software Development. You will embark on a self-directed learning journey, complete tasks, and undertake projects aligned with a meticulously structured Internship Program Curriculum and resources that we provide to you at no cost.

Your progress will be closely monitored and supervised throughout the program to ensure that you stay on course and remain accountable. During the course of the program, you will gain knowledge alongside innovative and inspirational mentors, while acquiring valuable experience by working on real-world solutions. You will also develop important work-ready soft skills along the way.

This program is open to a wide range of participants, including students looking for SIWES (Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme) placements, recent graduates in search of NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) placements, post-NYSC graduates seeking experience, students aiming to gain industry exposure, or anyone interested in enhancing their tech skills and pursuing a career in technology.

Please note that this is an unpaid opportunity, and stipends to cover data expenses and other needs are not available to participants at this time, with the exception of Youth Corps Members (NYSC). We expect every participant to have a functional laptop and access to data for full participation, including progress tracking at various intervals throughout the program.

Furthermore, while this is a remote tech training program, Interns accepted and participating under the SIWES or NYSC categories are expected to be on-site during their placement period in line with the requirements specified by the Industrial Trust Fund (ITF) and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Hence, please ensure that you choose the appropriate Internship category.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Java; familiarity with Back End Development frameworks like Spring, Flyway, and Quarkus is not mandatory for beginners.
• Interest and rudimentary skills in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence are advantageous (please include this in the skills field).
• Analytical skills and a foundation in mathematics.
• Exceptional organizational abilities.
• Accountability demonstrated through set metrics and performance indicators.
• Strong time management skills.
• Resourcefulness, problem-solving aptitude, and a results-oriented approach.
• Willingness to learn.
• The ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Application of knowledge gained in computer science or software engineering-related courses to real-world challenges.

Note: To be accepted into the program under the NYSC category, participants will undergo further assessment and work with our Product Teams during their service year.
