Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-conscious Quality Control Officer to support our operations in maintaining consistent food quality, hygiene, safety, and service standards.
The successful candidate will help ensure that products and processes meet established quality requirements and that appropriate standards are consistently maintained across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor food production and operational processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Conduct routine quality checks on raw materials, ingredients, finished products, and food preparation processes.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Identify quality issues, deviations, and potential risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor product consistency, freshness, presentation, and adherence to approved specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen, production, storage, and service areas.
- Maintain accurate quality control records, inspection reports, and relevant documentation.
- Work closely with kitchen, production, procurement, and operations teams to address quality concerns.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of quality assurance procedures.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of food products.
- Report quality-related issues promptly to management.
- Participate in staff training and awareness activities relating to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
- Perform other quality control duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Food Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline is an advantage.
- Previous experience in quality control, food production, hospitality, restaurant operations, or a related field is required.
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and quality control practices.
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant and production environment.
