Job Summary
MUSE Boutique Hotel & Suites is seeking a Hotel Accountant to support its financial operations and ensure accurate financial records, reporting, and compliance.
The ideal candidate should have relevant accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and an understanding of financial operations within the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions.
- Monitor income, expenses, payments, and receipts.
- Prepare and review invoices, vouchers, and other financial documents.
- Reconcile bank, cash, supplier, and customer accounts.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare periodic financial reports for management.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring.
- Monitor hotel revenue and ensure proper recording of daily sales.
- Support payroll and other financial administration where required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and tax requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation for internal and external audits.
- Identify financial discrepancies and assist with timely resolution.
- Monitor financial controls and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Perform other accounting duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in accounting, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry, is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
