Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Account Officer to manage the company's financial operations while supporting key human resources and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
  • Maintain accurate records of daily financial transactions and petty cash.
  • Prepare and issue client invoices, while proactively following up on outstanding receivables.
  • Verify vendor invoices, process payments, and maintain positive vendor relationships.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Prepare and file statutory tax returns, including VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), and PAYE, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Human Resources & Administration
  • Process monthly payroll, including salaries, deductions, bonuses, pensions, and other statutory obligations.
  • Support recruitment activities by sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding qualified candidates for office and field roles.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including contracts, leave records, and personnel files.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries relating to company policies, benefits, and workplace matters.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with Nigerian labour laws and company policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant accounting experience in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll administration, taxation, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with accounting software is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
