Job Purpose

The Fleet Officer will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation, dispatch, and maintenance of the company’s fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, maintenance, and fuel consumption.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor driver and vehicle activities for compliance and quality assurance.
  • Manage vehicle-related complaints and coordinate with the maintenance unit for prompt repairs.
  • Plan and dispatch resources efficiently in line with requests from the Marketing team.
  • Oversee vehicle repairs and ensure timely return to service to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain standby vehicles to cover for breakdowns.
  • Monitor daily dispatch and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage fuel budgets, reload fuel cards, verify purchases, and track fuel consumption.
  • Request and follow up on the procurement of vehicle accessories.
  • Ensure optimal deployment of drivers to meet operational requirements.
  • Report and document vehicle incidents and accidents.
  • Participate in periodic driver training and development programs.
  • Perform additional assignments as delegated by management.
Qualifications & Experience
  • B.Sc. or HND in a relevant field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in fleet management.
