About the Role

Yemert is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Operations to oversee day-to-day operations, optimize processes, and ensure efficient service delivery to farmers and partners across Nigeria and other African markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities and workflows.
• Optimize processes to improve efficiency, quality, and service delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and monitor operational performance.
• Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and operational controls.
• Support strategic planning and scalable business growth.
• Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure the effective delivery and reliability of Yemert’s USSD-based services.
• Support operations across Nigeria and Rwanda.
• Work closely with field teams and travel when required.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in operations, business management, consulting, strategy, or a related leadership role.
• Proven experience building or improving operational systems in a startup, growing business, or complex organization.
• Strong commercial and business understanding.
• Excellent project management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working across multiple teams, locations, or markets is an advantage.
• Experience in agritech, fintech, insurance, climate finance, or related emerging-market sectors is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel when required.
