About the Program

Chevron’s NMA Postgraduate Internship Program is a demonstration of its corporate social responsibility and a support mechanism for the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).

This program provides Nigerian students pursuing postgraduate degrees with opportunities to:

• Gain hands-on technical knowledge.
• Build and demonstrate new skills.
• Contribute effectively in a professional setting.

Interns will work on assignments aligned with their discipline or research focus and will report to a supervisor responsible for their growth and development.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to Nigerian students studying in-country or overseas.
• Candidates must be actively enrolled in an academic program leading to:
  • Master’s Degree
  • Doctorate Degree
  • Postgraduate professional qualifications.
• Research or industry experience must be a program requirement.

Internship Requirements

• Obtain and submit a recommendation letter from your institution.
• Internship duration:
  • Minimum 6 months and maximum 12 months for Master’s programs.
  • Up to 24 months for Doctorate programs.
• Applications must include:
  • Research areas or areas of interest.
  • Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• All applications must be submitted through the online application portal.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting process includes aptitude tests and/or interviews.
• Selections will be based on performance and available space.
