We are hiring for the position of Engineering Technician

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a suitable candidate for the role of Engineering Technician (General Services), who will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance in maintaining the office’s physical infrastructure and systems related to General Services tasks, complementing business activities and overall maintenance functions.

A day in the Life of the Engineering Technician…
  • Managing assigned maintenance functions to achieve a 100% set standard.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and repairs of Head Office electrical, mechanical, civil, and safety equipment, ensuring prompt attention to maintenance issues without significant complaints from the company and users.
  • Ensuring high standard maintenance and repairs of buildings and facilities at the Head Office, company Guest House, and Head Office canteen, conducting regular checks on maintenance levels.
  • Accountability for maintaining high standards in preventive maintenance and handling timely renewals of all maintenance agreements for general services related contracts.
  • Conducting maintenance on fire prevention systems, ensuring timely servicing of all fire prevention equipment, including fire extinguishers, water hydrants, and all safety equipment.
  • Coordinating Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) activities at the Head Office.
  • Ensuring an adequate stock of petrol, diesel for office use, and bulk gas for the staff canteen, paying attention to accuracy in fuel discharge from vendors and maintaining records of fuel discharge to the company fuel dump.
  • Dislodging all septic tanks.
What Will Make You Successful?

To be successful in this position, you must have:

  • Ordinary National Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, with 5 O-level credits including English, Mathematics, and Physics.
  • Skills in Electrical Systems Maintenance, Design Reading, and Schematic Interpretation.
  • Proficiency in Preventive Maintenance and Computer literacy.
  • Compliance with Regulatory Standards, Documentation, and Reporting.
  • Strong Communication & Persuasive Skills (influencing).
  • Interpersonal and Analytical skills.
  • Initiative & Drive for result.
  • Adaptability & Flexibility.
