Job Overview

As a Finance Assistant, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the financial operations of our company. Working closely with the finance team, your meticulous attention to detail and precision in task execution will significantly contribute to the overall financial well-being and success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Process vendor invoices and employee expense claims, ensuring prompt payments.
Collaborate with the finance team for smooth month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Assist in generating necessary financial reports and schedules as needed.
Reconcile supplier statements, addressing any discrepancies. Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing customers and tracking payments.
Enter financial data accurately and efficiently into the accounting system.
Maintain and update financial records encompassing transactions, receipts, and disbursements.
Assist in preparing financial reports and conducting variance analysis.

Financial Analysis:

Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations, providing support during internal and external audits.

Skills and Qualifications

An OND in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred. Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
Proactive attitude, ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Prior work experience in finance or accounting is advantageous.
Familiarity with accounting systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Strong numerical and analytical skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Capability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information.
